Over the past 30 years Geoff Keighley has produced, hosted and created some of the largest television and live digital events for the video game industry. From large-scale awards shows, weekly series, live launch events, long-form documentaries, and branded entertainment specials, Keighley has worked with every major video game developer and publisher to bring their games to life.
THE GAME AWARDS
In 2014, Geoff self-financed and launched The Game Awards, a new independent video game awards show created specifically for digital platforms like YouTube and Twitch. With eleven years of record-setting growth, The Game Awards reached 154 million livestreams in 2024. It is now one of the largest entertainment events in the world. www.thegameawards.com

To celebrate the launch of the PS4 version of The Last of Us, Naughty Dog brings last year's Game of the Year to life in front of hundreds of fans in Santa Monica.
LAST OF US: ONE NIGHT LIVE (Live Event)
Geoff worked with Naughty Dog and PlayStation to create a one night only theatrical staging of the hit game The Last of Us. With the lead actors reprising their roles alongside Oscar-winning composer Gustavo Santaolalla, The Last of Us: One Night Live was staged at the Broad Theater in Santa Monica and streamed live on Twitch and YouTube.
RISE OF THE VIDEOGAME (Discovery Channel)
Alongside World of Wonder, Geoff produced this landmark five hour documentary series that charts the rise of videogames as the leading form of global entertainment. The complete series also aired throughout the world and in Europe as I, VIDEOGAME.
GTTV WITH GEOFF KEIGHLEY (Spike)
With over 150 episodes produced between 2005 and 2014, Geoff's weekly videogame newsmagazine show on Spike traveled the world to debut exclusive new game footage and interview the top game creators at every major studio.

PLAYSTATION E3 EXPERIENCE (Fathom Events - In Theaters)
Geoff brought videogames live to movie theaters for the first-time ever in partnership with Fathom Events. The PlayStation E3 Experience let fans in 50 cities around North America watch the PlayStation E3 press conference LIVE, followed by an exclusive post-show hosted by Geoff. Tickets for this landmark event sold out in less than 15 minutes.
XBOX ONE: DAY ONE COUNTDOWN (Spike)
Live from New York and Los Angeles, Geoff hosted and executive produced the global launch of the Xbox One, with live performances by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis and Deadmau5. This one hour TV special also aired on Xbox Live.

VGX FEATURING THE MUSIC OF OF GRAND THEFT AUTO V (Viacom)
Geoff co-hosted this video game awards show with Joel McHale, which also featured a massive "Music of Grand Theft Auto V" concert in partnership with Rockstar Games, with performances by Tyler the Creator and A$AP Rocky.
In partnership with Mountain Dew, Spike TV sought to uncover the next great minds in the Independent Games field. We traveled the world from Finland to Austin to Vancouver and Los Angeles to tell a genuine and inspiring story of how to make it big with little resources, a lot of heart and a little crazy.
NEXT GREAT GAME GODS (Spike) Meet the indie game developers who are on the verge of making it big. Produced in partnership with Mountain Dew, this documentary series took Geoff and team to Japan, Finland and around the world to meet developers like ThatGameCompany and RedLynx. 2 seasons.
GEARS OF WAR THE RACE TO LAUNCH (MTV)
In a follow-up to the successful E3 special, Geoff, LivePlanet and MTV teamed up for another special tied to the launch of Gears of War.
GAMESTOP: UNWRAPPED (Spike)
In addition to hosting GameStop TV's in-store network, Geoff worked with GameStop on two half-hour specials that aired on Spike TV, showcasing the hottest holiday game releases from studios around the world.
KINECT: THE REVEAL WITH CIRQUE DU SOLEIL (MTV, Nickelodeon)
For the reveal of Kinect at E3, Microsoft teamed up with Cirque du Soleil and Michel Laprise for a one-night performance. Directed by David Mallet for TV, and hosted by Geoff for MTV and Nickelodeon.

From 2005 - 2007, Geoff served as a host and producer at the G4 videogame network, and anchored the weekly G4TV.com talk show. He also appeared on Electric Playground, Attack of the Show, and the network's annual GPhoria video game awards.
